🌎About Us
International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA)
IFA - International Federation of Aromatherapists, founded in 1985 and headquartered in the UK, is the oldest and largest non-profit aromatherapy organization in the world. Currently operating in 43 countries, administers and certifies aromatherapy standards for practitioners and credentialing providers.
IFA pioneered and introduced aromatherapy in the hospice and nursing profession of the National Health Service (NHS, National Health Service), becoming the world's leading aromatherapy education institution and setting the highest standards. In 2020, IFA was approved by the Health and Social Care Professional Standards Authority (PSA), becoming the world's first aromatherapy institution registered with PSA. This means that the medical system recognizes the contribution of the IFA aromatherapy system to the medical system, which greatly improves the international status of the IFA certificate.
The quality of our courses and training means that IFA qualified therapists are recommended by recruitment agencies such as Target Jobs, The Guardian newspaper, as well as many condition-specific charities and NHS hospitals. This qualification is also recognized by London and other city councils, is exempt from licensing and is recognized by some health insurance providers.
